HKR Kitzbühel
ORF Autumn Inspection
20.10.2016
The annual ORF autumn course inspection took place with ORF production staff and the editorial board, together with ORF’s chief technician and responsible officials from the HKR Team, surrounded by snow-dusted mountain peaks in cool winter temperatures.
After agreeing the main adjustments to the new HKR sports programme, any remaining technical questions were clarified in detail along the Streif and Ganslernhang courses. "This meeting is essential every year for the smooth operation of working progress in January," said OK Chief Michael Huber as an introductory greeting to those present. ORF Editor-in-Chief Robert Walecka explained, "ORF and Kitzbüheler Ski Club share the goal of promoting the sport and it is therefore in both our interests to broadcast the Kitzbühel-Europacup in the usual ORF quality." For HKR Chief of Race, Axel Naglich, it is essential "that efforts are made every year to provide the Hahnenkamm Races TV product with innovative moments”. Chef Director, Michael Kögler, summed it up succinctly in closing: “ORF is planning yet more improvements in broadcasting quality and, working in conjunction with the Organizing Committee, are confident that this is achievable”.
Kitzbühel Ski Club, Organizers of the Hahnenkamm Races, wish ORF all the very best for their first broadcasting of the upcoming World Cup season in Sölden, as well as all participating athletes and officials.
