A poster heralds the start of the 2024 races

22.06.2023

Lasha Inashvili from Georgia is the winner of the poster competition for the Hahnenkamm Races. His design, entitled "Trophy", is representative of the Team Combined, Hahnenkamm Downhill, Slalom and Juniors Race in January 2024. Tickets for the races are expected to be available in the online shop from July.

Fantastic weather conditions and a stunning alpine setting on Mount Hahnenkamm presided over the unveiling of the official 2024 Hahnenkamm Race poster, as part of the “Golf the Streif” tournament on 22nd June. The winning design by Georgian artist Lasha Inashvili was selected from a total of 122 submissions by 68 artists. The 46-year-old’s design, entitled "Trophy", features a rooster's crest gliding over the Streif. Three of the peaks bear the colours gold, silver and bronze, while the colours of the downhill course symbolise the international line-up competing at the races. Lasha Inashvili can now look forward to receiving EUR 7,000 in prize money, as well as an invitation to the races in January.

Michael Huber, OC Chief for the Hahnenkamm Races, was delighted with the "charming poster" and the great number of international participants: "Of the 68 artists who took part, 12 come from Asia, six from America and 50 from Europe." BTV, the Bank for Tirol and Vorarlberg, has sponsored this annual poster competition since 1990: "It is exciting every year anew to see how the artists bring their interpretation of the Hahnenkamm Races to life," commented Peter Kofler, BTV's Managing Director for private customers from Germany and Kitzbühel, and expressed his pleasure at the decades-long partnership with Kitzbühel Ski Club: "We share a passion for skiing and a commitment to the alpine region and are delighted to be part of this prestigious event."

The winner was selected by an expert jury consisting of representatives from K.S.C. and BTV. The poster will soon be available from BTV and Kitzbühel Ski Club, among others. Proceeds generated by its sales are used to support K.S.C.’s up-and-coming young ski talent. The competition for the 2025 poster starts on 1st July 2023! Entries should be sent to poster@hahnenkamm.com by no later than 30th August 2023. The invitation to participate will soon be published online at www.hahnenkamm.com.

Ticket prices remain the same

The poster unveiling could also be called a “soft launch” of the 2024 races. Online ticket sales for the 2024 Hahnenkamm Races are expected to begin in July at hahnenkamm.com/tickets. Prices for the general spectator area remain unchanged from those in January 2023 (EUR 30 on Friday and Sunday, EUR 35 on Saturday). Children can attend the races for free, while young people enjoy a special price (EUR 15).

All grandstand, special zone and group tickets are exclusively available from the ticket office under ticket@hahnenkamm.com

Michael Huber is already looking forward to the World Cup premiere of the Team Combined event on Friday, 19th January. Teams consist of a downhill skier and a slalom skier from the same nation. "If Vincent Kriechmayr is in the lead after the Downhill, Manuel Feller will start last in the Slalom. Prize money is shared, but everyone will receive their own “Gams” trophy,” explained Michael Huber. The classic Hahnenkamm Downhill is scheduled to take place on 20th January, followed by the slalom on the Ganslern slope on 21st January. The Juniors Race will take place on 17th January.
