Günther Mader (AUT) wins the downhill and the combination - he is the last one to win this double. With the Kitzbühel victory he achieved a World Cup success in all disciplines, only Marc Girardelli (LUX) and Pirmin Zurbriggen (SUI) achieved this before him.
On the occasion of 40 years of triple victory in Cortina by Toni Sailer (AUT), a legend race is held and a Toni Sailer coin is minted. Numerous ski stars come to Kitzbühel from near and far.
