The new start area for the Super-G is introduced. Since then, it has been located above the “Seidlalm” and directly below the snow-making pond 2 of the Bergbahn AG.

For the first time, the parallel Streif is released as a “spectator route” and is very popular every year since then.

Ivica Kostelic (CRO) wins the Super-G and the combination and is also second in the slalom! This makes him the last “real all-rounder” in the alpine ski circus on Streif and Ganslern.
